Oseno Jerk isn’t just food it’s the story of family, culture, and Caribbean flavor coming together.
Oseno Jerk was founded by Osan Abbott and Okeno Guthrie, whose love for Jamaican cuisine and community inspired the brand’s bold and flavorful approach to Caribbean fusion cooking.
Osan and Okeno first met in high school, where they quickly became best friends. At the time, neither of them realized that the lessons they were learning at home in their families’ kitchens would one day bring them together in business. Growing up, both families passed down simple but powerful traditions of Jamaican cooking teaching them how to use fresh herbs, bold spices, and time honored techniques to create meals that bring people together.
Those early lessons eventually became the foundation for what would later become Osan + Okeno = Oseno. The name Oseno represents more than just a brand. It’s a fusion of friendship, culture, and a shared passion for bringing authentic Jamaican flavor to every plate.
Over the years, Osan and Okeno’s friendship grew into a lifelong partnership. Today, they are engaged and raising four children together, building both a family and a business rooted in love, culture, and community.
What started as a small summer pop-up in 2020 quickly grew as word spread about the bold flavors coming from the Oseno Jerk kitchen. Guests kept coming back for the signature jerk dishes, vibrant Caribbean fusion flavors, and the warm hospitality that defines Oseno’s.
Today, Oseno Jerk continues to grow through pop-ups, catering, and special events sharing the rich culture, vibrant spices, and unforgettable flavors of Jamaica with every dish served.
